'Sex and the City' and 'The Carrie's Diaries'

For those who don't know 'The Carrie's Diaries' is an 80's set dramedy which chronicles the adolescent years of Carrie Bradshaw. A 16-year-old Carrie interns in New York City, where a run-in with a chic style editor sparks the future columnist’s warm and fuzzy feelings about Manhattan.

As an ardent 'Sex and the City' fan, I look forward to watching the prequel 'The Carrie's Diaries' which is premiering early next year although I am a tad worried if it will last more than a season with the way series are being scrapped these days. I hope it comes with a bit of the appeal of 'Sex and the City' with the tale of friendship, love and shoes too. Loads of them J

Horror Movie Kids - Then and Now

I understand the power of make up and costume but Samara from the movie "The Ring" is probably the scariest character I have ever seen. There was a time I used to say no movie scares me. That was before I saw "The Ring". That girl was creepy as hell. You'll be shocked to see what she looks like now. Continue to see what some horror movie kids of the the past look like now.

Gangnam Style - Psy

I am so late on this but I don't care at all. heehee. Had to post this.

So 'Gangnam style' seems to be the rage of the moment. I saw this video for the first time like two weeks ago. The video is quite silly, but it is so entertaining.

Who Knew? Eddie Murphy Sang

Who knew that Eddie Murphy was a recording artist at any time in his life? I HAD ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE!!! But I just found out (thank you Wikipedia).

Apparently Edward Regan "Eddie" Murphy was quite successful as a pop artiste in the 80s and early 90s. As a solo artiste, he had two hit singles, his highest-charting LP, 1985′s ‘How Could it Be’, which peaked at #26 on the Billboard 200 and "Party All the Time" (which was produced by Rick James). "Party All the Time" was Murphy’s lone top 10 hit on the Billboard Hot 100. The track climbed to #2 on the lineup in 1985 and was ranked as the #7 most successful hit at the end of 1986.

Well I saw the "Party all the time" video. Groovy. Shoulder pads and weird looking  hair all over the place. Rick James had blond weave on. Reminded me of the old Miami vice movie. lol. The video was nice though. And Eddie Murphy was really cute. Not bad at all.

"My Aluu Experience" - @money_alchemist

The Aluu 4 murder was probably the most shocking and depressing story I have heard in a really long time. For the Aluu 4 story click here. I still feel so heavy and sick to my stomach anytime I think about it. I felt particularly bad about the whole thing because it happened in my alma mater and  also because I lived in the outskirts of Aluu for about a year while I was in school. In an effort to shake off this dark feeling, I kept up bringing the topic up in every conversation I had with everyone. This was what led me to have a chat with @money_alchemist, an old friend from school. As I was lamenting about the way I felt and how I could not believe people could act so cruel and inhumane, he suddenly goes, ‘Did I ever tell you how I almost got lynched at Aluu when I was in school?’ and I, in shock, asked, "You almost got lynched?’ then he told me his story…….

Stunners alert!!!

Earlier this year Dbanj released his ‘Oliver Twist’ Video and the biggest attention-grabber for me was the choreography …well and also the scene at the end with Kanye doing the whole spooky hood removal thing …but I digress.

Lindsay Lohan Arrested in NYC

Lindsay Lohan was arrested early Wednesday morning in New York, accused of leaving an accident scene.

The NYPD said she was arrested at 2:30 am and taken to the New York's 10th Precinct police station where she was processed and released on her own recognizance.

The police said shortly after midnight the actress was entering the parking area of Dream Hotel which shares a driveway with restaurant where she allegedly hit a restaurant employee with her 2012 Porsche Canyenne.

Police claims she continued into the drive way and parked her car leaving the scene after the accident. Lohan was charged with leaving the scene and police say drugs and alcohol are not suspected in the accident.

When will this end?

Blog header designer & #howsheleftmybrother S1 E5

This week has been quite revealing, I spent a good part of it designing my blog header, yes I have added graphic art to my belt. It was a really grueling task but extremely satisfying. I am so proud. It had me fantasizing about adding graphic artist to my CV. I don’t think the header is quite perfect yet but I’ll get there. Next project on board is the blog button.

In other news, the fifth episode of #howsheleftmybrother dropped yesterday. Will Ejiro put her guard down and trust Nicole to win Tunji’s heart? There is only one way to find out. Enjoy.

#howsheleftmybrother S1 E1, 2, 3 & 4

A couple of weeks ago I discovered an online series titled #howsheleftmybrother and have since been hooked. I really love the uniqueness of this piece and it is really refreshing seeing some new faces. My fave character so far is IK the under dog, Victor Godfrey does an amazing job acting invisible.

#howsheleftmybrother has been described as "an  experimental short - form sitcom about a webcam, siblings, high heels, hidden cameras - and getting rid of your older brother's obnoxious girlfriend". So far four episodes have been released and I can't wait for the fifth.

The cast include Ivie Okujaye, Chris Attoh, Eku Ewedor, OC Ukeje, Vanessa Kanu and Victor Godfrey.

Ok, time for me to shut up and for you to watch.

Forever Young

Hello J.

It has been a while. I have been so busy and also have been trying to get used to the art of blogging. Not to worry, I’ll post more frequently. Cross my heart (no hopes of dying though).

I was surfing the net yesterday and found the cutest movies on Youtube. The Barbie Movies . YAYYY!!!  Before you ask, I am not a child, but to be honest, everyone wants to stay young. What better way is there than settling into the nostalgia of our childhood.  Barbie by the way is super amazing, beautiful, stylish, smart and has the hottest boyfriend in Barbie land, Ken. LOL. If only the world was that simple.

While I try to smooth the crinkles and learn the ropes of blogging, I will leave you with two videos. The movie trailer, Barbie: A Fashion Fairytale. You can watch the full movie on Youtube (They have loads of them there) and music video of a song I love so much it hurts, We are young by FUN ft. Janelle Monáe. Enjoy and stay young.

First, Definitely Not Last

YES! I DID IT!

Now I am going to go all cliché and gush.

I am super excited because I have always, always, always wanted to own a blog. This will be a place to vent and express my passions (Warning: I am passionate about lots of stuff) and dreams.

Expect rants and musings, news and gossip, fashion and lifestyle (well the little I know of it), and a whole lot more.

Enough said.
Kizzez.
